Michael Nimmo of Denver Trial Lawyers ®, and President of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association was recently published in The Colorado Sun for an article on his thoughts on the impact of civil justice.
According to Nimmo, “ Civil justice helps overcome society’s obstacles through legal change.
Sometimes, it is the only option to hold individuals, corporations, and governments accountable for their actions. Politics often obstructs new policy or legal changes supported by the public.
Thus, other institutions step in to protect individual rights, civil rights, and the rights of those who cannot stand up for themselves. Justice comes in many forms, and we are fortunate to live in a country that gives citizens several paths for fair solutions.
We still preserve this right for all citizens, and that should give solace to everyone during these difficult times.” See the full Colorado Sun article here: https://coloradosun.com/2019/11/24/civil-justice-colorado-supreme-court-lawsuit-opinion/
