Denver, CO — Nine vehicles were involved in the crash that closed the southbound lanes of I-25 Tuesday night.
It is reported that one person was sent to the hospital with unknown injuries. Denver Police said that one vehicle rolled during the crash. It is unknown if the hospitalized person was the one driving the rolled car.
Denver Police urged drivers to find alternate routes around 7:45 on Tuesday night. All southbound lanes were closed so that crews could clear the scene. It is currently unknown if any citations were given out to any of the drivers involved.
The packed interstate remained closed for multiple hours just south of the exit ramp for 6th Avenue. All lanes reopened around 11 p.m. according to police.
The cause of the pileup is still unknown.
