Lakewood, CO - Lakewood police re-opened all eastbound lanes on U.S. 6 after an investigation into an accident that killed a pedestrian this morning.
Police closed the highway just before 7 a.m. when a car struck a woman walking along the U.S. 6 and Sheridan intersection.
Lakewood police spokesperson Paul Osckel says the driver remained on scene to aid in the investigation. No charges are anticipated.
Police state that some drivers had called 911 before the accident to report the woman walking on the median around 6 a.m.
The far-right lane reopened just after 7 a.m. All lanes were reopened before 10 a.m.
