Lakewood, CO -- A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run collision in Lakewood on Saturday night.
The Lakewood Police Department reported that it is investigating the crash, which occurred around 1:00 AM on Saturday.
At the scene, at the intersection of West Colfax Avenue and Oak Street, police found a badly injured male pedestrian; the vehicle that hit him had fled the area.
The LPD said the pedestrian died at the scene.The authorities said they are working with witnesses to determine and release a vehicle description for the car that fled the crash scene.
Police ask anyone who witnessed the collision to contact Metro Denver Crime Stoppers or Jeffcom. The identity of the deceased man has not yet been shared.
